Ministry of Higher Education: Al_ Nukhba University College enters the IRU National Classification of Universities.
The College entered the National Classification of Universities in Iraq, released by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The college rated 37th ahead of a number of universities and community colleges.
The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Jamil Moussa Al-Zaidi, offered congratulations and praises to all the Faculty’s affiliated professors, students and staff, praising the valuable scientific and research efforts of all the work, collection, presentation and dissemination of the necessary data and scientific requirements of this classification.
According to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the specialists in this file conducted a comprehensive assessment of eighty-three State and civil educational institutions spread over thirty-six State universities, forty-seven universities, eighty-five private colleges, seventy-five specialized colleges, one hundred and seventy-nine scientific departments.
The evaluation includes characteristics relating to the institutional environment and academic programmes, the specifics and weights of which were grouped into two groups:
– Institutional performance evaluation criteria comprising quality, institutional accreditation 20 percent , global classifications 15 percent , scientific research effectiveness 20 percent , community service 5 percent , resource maximization 10 percent , teaching staff 10 percent , students 15 percent and international diversity 5 percent .
– Criteria for evaluating the performance of scientific departments containing 35 percent quality and programme accreditation, 30 percent effectiveness of scientific research, 20 percent teaching staff and 15 percent students.
